Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities
Formed in 1988, Aontacht Phobail Teoranta is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. Meaning "Community with an agreed purpose", APT exists to maximise the social and employment potential of people with disabilities. APT is located in Tullamore, Co. Offaly and operates within the four counties of the Midlands Region: Laois/Offaly/Longford and Westmeath.
Through a partnership approach and by focusing on the development of innovative measures, APT aims to deliver a quality and responsive service to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and other disadvantaged persons and to enable their fuller participation in society.
VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED
APT, in co-operation with the HSE, is developing a pilot volunteer drivers scheme to provide transport to and from appointments for dialysis patients from the Laois/Offaly area.
If you are a car owner and have time to spare, this is an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the community. Relevant training provided. Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Please click here to downlaod an application form.

Addresses the job needs of people with disabilities through an 'On-the-Job' training scheme, work experience and a career direction service.
